EPIDEMICS & PANDEMICS

Since its emergence, the COVID-19 pandemic has had a negative impact on the Egyptian and global economy. Egypt has been able to respond to the crisis vigorously, but its foreign income has been disrupted by the disruption of tourism and economic activity worldwide.

And the Corona virus has severely hampered growth, limited external sources of income, disrupted financial control and exacerbated the challenges in the long run due to the loss of many jobs, because of which maintaining the gains of the economy is very important.

One of Egypt's economic achievements during the outbreak was that it was the only developing country whose economy was expected to grow by two percent in 2020 . However, the investment damage from the pandemic was considerable, due to a number of factors, including social divergence, general closure to curb the spread of infection, loss of income, and declining consumer confidence, which led to a fall in the price of shares. Many companies cut investment as a result of falling aggregate demand, and global inflation fell by 3% in 2020, compared to 3.6% in 2019.
